Dean Steelhead
Season: This is a Summer Steelhead river. The fishing takes place between July and middle of of September. Our groups usually fish at the end of August.
Dean River: Undoubtedly one of the worlds very best if not the best Steelheadriver. Rocky bottom, easy to wade and easy access by All Terrain Vehicles.

Dean River
Fish/Tackle: it is not uncommon to hook 30-40 and land some 20-30 fresh steelhead in a single week. The fish have good size and are in excellent condition. Common Steelhead tackle like 9-10 ft flyrod for 7/9 floating lines and Teenys is used. Leeches, Woolly Buggers, Bombers etc. should make part of your flies.
Accommodation: Nakia Lodge, downstream Dean river, is not very luxurious but quite decent and practical. The food is of outstanding quality and guide Adam has an easy job to take you to the hot spots.
